Director’s Biography – Anna Ivanova
Anna is a porn studies researcher, filmmaker, and visual artist with an MA in Visual and Media Anthropology and an MS in Computer Science. Anna uses filmmaking as a preferred medium for her anthropological research; to date, she has produced six short films and two installations that she exhibited in Berlin. Two of her short films were selected for the porn film festivals in Berlin, Athens, and Warsaw, as well as the queer film festivals in Toronto and Ljubljana. She lives and works in Berlin. Anna’s research interests include visual activism in queer pornography, AIDS media activism, queer pedagogies, and body politics.
